Overview

The Yamaha Ténéré 700 adventure touring motorcycle was first unveiled as a concept in 2017, with official sales starting in 2019 (2020 model year). Its primary target market was Europe, while North America received the model closer to 2021.

The model is based on the CP2 engine from the MT-07 series – a 689 cc parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine producing 73 hp and 68 Nm of torque. The engine’s key feature is a 270° crankshaft, which makes it behave similarly to a V-twin.
